“I like good strong words that mean something.”
– Louisa May Alcott
Welcome to my blog full of untamed writing: a space where the wilderness of the mind grows unhindered and creatures of the heart roam with abandon. “Good Strong Words” is a landscape full of long reads and other such musings, with no real direction or theme. And that’s the point.
As much as I have loved focused, genre-oriented writing in the past, I felt too segmented, pulled into too many different directions by labeling and limiting myself by specific blog niches. I found myself crafting blog posts that had no home and I knew it was time for a big shift in how I approach my blogging.
And thus, “Good Strong Words” was born.
Unconfined to any one blog topic, I write about the things that matter to me in my life in the moment: motherhood, geek chic, design, food, travel, writing, politics, mindful living. I’m here to tell my story, share my thoughts, vent, laugh, reflect and reconnect.
No more sidebars. No more ad units. No more confusion of trying to figure out on exactly which peg I should hang my niche and genre hats.
This is writing for the sake of writing, as it’s meant to be: untamed, wild, and free.
